I thought I would be one of those Asians who could go to a non Asian country on holiday and not hanker for Asian food after a week, but it turns out that that’s not the case.
Guess this is one thing that makes me Singaporean? I identify most strongly with the food.
Which is why even though these days I prefer the clean taste of sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads, it’s such a treat to have something like charcoal fried hokkien mee at Geylang and the also famous pork satay.
It’s one place you’ve heard me blog about quite a bit and here I go again.

Had a great time with my uncle, aunt & cousin here. It was a first time for them and I think they liked the meal too as my aunt mentioned that the noodles had that ‘wok taste’. That’s a good thing, besides the fact that we all polished off everything on our plates including the pork lard which I usually tend to pick out. I like making memories. More than the food it’s the company that makes for a good time, but you already know that.
